Colonel Michael and Margaret Sue Masters welcome you to the Colonel’s Cottage Inn located in downtown historic Bardstown. The Colonel and Margaret Sue are the proprietors of the Colonel’s Cottage Inns. There are three Cottages - Millstone Cottage circa 1880, Pioneer Park Cottage circa 1880 and John Fitch Cottage circa 1840. These historic Cottages have been meticulously restored and are absolutely beautiful. The Cottages are furnished with Kentucky antiques, reminiscent of a day in our Southern past that was very graceful and genteel.
The Colonel and Margaret Sue are also the proprietors of Chapeze House, “Kentucky’s Home for Bourbon” for those that wish to have a Bourbon Tasting, Cocktails and/or Dinner at the historic Chapeze House located, just a couple of blocks from each of the Cottages.
“I welcome you to historic Bardstown. Our town offers you "an absolutely unforgettable Kentucky experience." Tour our historic streets and view our stately old homes. Meander through our museums and distilleries. Shop in our downtown stores and eat in our wonderful restaurants. Dine upon The Dinner Train as it travels along its railroad tracks. Visit the Kentucky state shrine, My Old Kentucky Home. Take in the Stephen Foster musical at our amphitheater. By all means purchase my Kentucky travel guide and cookbook, Hospitality-Kentucky Style. And when you see me in Bardstown, stop me and introduce yourself. I will be glad to make your acquaintance.”
